Inception:

Nolan has created something with his unbelievable, incredibly god gifted mind which will leave you stunned. With physics-defying, thunderous action, heart-wringing emotion and an phenomenal performance from Leonardo DiCaprio the movie is sure to take your heart away. Do yourself a favor by experiencing the exceptionally lucid classic created by Nolan.

Godfather trilogy:

The film has a terrific mood; one great performance by Pacino, an excellent character segues by Brando and a strong supporting cast. With performance, style, and substance to savor, this shows how it is possible to smash box office records without being mindless.

The Shawshank redemption:

This is a movie about time, patience, and loyalty—not sexy or glamorous qualities perhaps, they grow on you during the subterranean progress of this story, which is about how two men serving life sentences in prison become friends and find a way to fight off despair. It gives us a sense of the leaden passage of time before the glory of the final redemption.

Fight club:

This movie had exactly caught the pre millennial tension. Great performances, stunning visuals and a plot like nothing you’ve ever seen. It challenges your prejudices, rocks your world and leaves you laughing in the face of an abyss. It’s also an uncompromising American classic.

Pulp fiction:

Quentin Tarantino’s pulp fiction is a milestone in the history of film making, both a joy and trial to sit through. It feels like a tale that didn’t need to be told, but for whatever reason, this movie tells it and does a better job than most films of its kind, or any other kind.

Apocalypse now:

One of the crown jewels of Zoetrope studios. This intense, potent film is infamous for its director’s budget and over-schedule process. The disturbing vision of the harrowing effects of war and violence continues to shock and haunt audience.

Saving Private Ryan:

Uncompromising, a powerful war movie that does not pull any punches. It perfectly balances the humanity of its protagonists and the inhumanity of war. The opening D-Day scene is not exploitation, but rather a master filmmaker’s true-life recreation of one of the bloodiest battles in human history, to make one appreciate the bravery and loss.

One flew over the cuckoo’s nest:

This movie is both uplifting and disheartening at the same time all at once. If anyone who ever hated their job, been accused of something, had some a person so self-righteous and convinced of their own authority and dependency in order to get in your way, or attended the American public-school system at any point in their life should be able to identify a great point with this movie.

The gold rush:

What sets this movie apart from other slapstick silent masterpieces is emotion and pathos. While on a mission to find gold in Alaska, a prospector seeks shelter in a cabin during a fierce snowstorm. Charlie Chaplin is soon involved in an altercation with the two men already huddled inside.

Goodfellas:

A brash, menacing hightail through the death of the mob. It is about the rise and fall of Irish Italian criminal henry hill. Goodfellas is compelling, a black-comic nightmare. The film s accompanied by a series of excellent documentaries in which his collaborators explain how Scorsese made crucial decisions.
