Most of us really wanted to take road trips once in our life. We consider Road trips to be adventurous, exciting a lots of fun but most of us have not experienced it but some day we will take a road trip and for that I am going to recommend some places . Here are the best places in India to take road trips.
Distance between Mumbai and Goa is 590 Kilometres(366 miles). The Pune-Kolhapur route is via NH4 is mostly preferred and we can cover the distance in 10 hours if we drive non-stop but it has great route so you won't be bored on route and time will pass by easily. It is preferred because it is one of the safest route.

Mumbai to Goa view
The distance between Manali and Leh is 478 Kilometres(297 miles) but it takes time to cover the distance because it's route is mostly above 4,000 metres(13,123 feet) of altitude. It has some deadly twists and turns, the snow-capped mountains, distinct valleys, spectacular landscapes and stunning monasteries is the great view to experience.

Manali to Leh view
Distance between Visakhapatnam and Araku valley is 114 Kilometres (70 miles), and can be covered in three or four hours easily. We can experience winds through curly roads on route. When in Araku Valley, visit Borra Caves and Tatipudi Reservoir, it is worth of it.

This is for those who are photography lovers. Distance between Shimla and Manali is merely 247 kilometres (153 miles) , which can be covered in a seven-hour drive via NH205 and NH3. In route it has beautiful mountains on one side and deep valley and verdant greenery on the other side, this road trip will definitely awesome for nature lovers.

Trip from Ahmedabad to the Land of White Salt Desert (that is, Kutch) is a great experience as it has best view . Distance between Ahemdabad and Kutch is 400 Kilometres (248 miles) and it would take approximately seven hours to cover the distance. The roads are well-developed, but they get crammed with traffic.

Distance between Darjeeling and Pelling is 72 Kilometres (44 miles), which can be covered within four hours with certain stops. It has beautiful view and their tea gardens are amazing to see.

Distance between Mumbai and Mount Abu is 765 Kilometres (475 miles), which can be covered within 12 hours via NH48 with constant driving. Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan come in the way to Mount Abu.

This road trip is great for nature lovers. The route of Bangalore to Ooty is along NH275 and 278 Kilometres (172 miles) apart, which can be covered within six hours. It has great view, if you wanna experience nature just take this road trip.

Golden Triangle- It binds the three historically and culturally rich cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur via the Yamuna Expressway and NH8. In this trip, we cover a distance of 449 Kilometres (279 miles), which can be driven in seven hours without a stop. If you have time then take stops and complete your trip in two or three days and visit places in between like in Delhi - Jama Masjid and Red Fort , in Agra - Taj Mahal and Agra Fort and in Jaipur, The Pink City - Hawa Mahal and historic Ajmer Fort.

For those looking for trekking or want to leave busy city life behind and escape into the lap of nature, a road trip to Kasauli is a great idea. Distance between Delhi and Kasauli is 290 Kilometre s(180 miles) it only takes about six to seven hours to reach. The fresh mountain air and vast swathes of greenery in Kasauli are such welcome changes from the urban jungle of Delhi. This is one of my favorite trip.
