Cats: Guide for perfect Feline Friend | Cat Breed Guide

Some of you might have them some of you want to have them. Be it cat, dog, hamster, guinea pig or fish, we all have a favourite animal that we dream to keep as a pet. My new year's resolution this year was to convince my parents to have a cat. I adore cats. I think they are the cutest little furry being.

While I was thinking about getting a cat, I looked upon the internet for the type of cat that I want to have as a pet. That moment a strange realisation hit me, we can name all the breeds of dog from the back of the head, but the same rule doesn't apply to cats.

When describing our favourite type of cat, we usually define them based on their features still we don't know the actual breed they belong too. Therefore, here's a list of few of the most popular cat breeds, so that you don't have to describe them anymore by their colour or pattern when you go to the pet store to get your furry (or not so furry) companion.

Persian cats are the most popular breed of cats, with their long hair and round face. These cats weigh up to 12 lbs as an adult and live from 15 to 17 years.

Scottish Fold Cat

Scottish fold, in my opinion, is the cutest little kittens. Their round head and round eyes make them look adorable. They are called Scottish fold because of a genetic mutation their ears tend to fold forward add, and hence their ears don't stand up making them and innocent appearance. These babies can weight between 9 to 13 pounds and live around 15 years of age.

These tiny kitties have short legs and puffed up ears with the fluffiest tail. These are a dwarf breed of cat that weighs between 8-9 pounds as an adult and they can live up to to 17 years of age.

These two cats look relatively similar but are very distinguished. Siamese has short and Balinese cats have long for and bushy tail. They both have point colouration on their face and have a life expectancy of 18 to 20 years of age.
