Milk and honey draws its title from Exodus 33:3, in which God promises to bring the Israelite's to "Go to the land flowing with milk and honey." Where milk and honey signifies The Promised Land.

This book contains 200 paltry poems divided into 4 sections - the hurting, the loving, the breaking and the healing.




This book is more of a journey in poetic form describing those twenty-one years of her life.

This book is an experience of loss, endurance, femininity, violence, abuse and love.

Milk and honey is written as "confessional poetry," where the first-person, the speaker, relating their own thoughts and experiences.


She referred to this book as her heart which would be in our hands to read.
